This subject has always fassinated me and although I know it is completly impossible I enjoy designing machines that explain the theory.
This machine uses two magnetic V gates and a cam for jumping the so called "sticky spot". Obviously the device could never work but it would make an interesting desk toy.

  • thumbs up if u muted while watching the video

  • @michaelqshaw If u can "show .....anyone that it is so" then right now u have a simple perpetual motion toy running until it wears out. U have no such thing, u have never seen such a thing, and u will never see such a thing. Even the person who posted this vid has the common sense to state that it "could never work". U have been "scammed" by a vid poster who had no intention of scamming anyone. "There is a sucker born every minute" PT Barnum.

  • @kevi8991 Motion could exist perpetually for the remainder of the lifetime of the universe if given an ideal environment devoid of gravity, friction and induction. However such an environment does not exist, and even if it did, the device would be utterly useless. Concerning "gravity... sustained with centripetal force"; centripetal force is not a form of energy so how would it sustain the motion of an object under the influence of gravity?

  • I'm surprised he didn't use "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" song.

  • @coasterpro it's fake? D: lol, i feel bad now. yes, i know how magnets work, and was actually quite surprised when i saw Robert33's video. however, i did not see how he could have faked the video, so i suppose my fascination overcame my logic :3 may i ask your opinion on a similar matter? do you personally think that a perpetual motion machine could be made? you mention that there is a need for an energy source. what if gravity was harnessed, and sustained with centripetal force?

  • @kevi8991 "it is actually possible"

No it isn't. Though we can use magnetic attraction and repulsion to do work, an energy source is required. Consider the simplest of examples: we gain energy when two magnets attract, but it takes at least the same amount of energy to pull the magnets apart again. The dipole has zero net energy. Also the video you linked to is a known fake. Roobert33 has routinely and consistently said so. The rotor was spun with an air compressor nozzle off camera.

  • @tampicokeed No U I dares U to make a prepetual U machine. till then, quiet U.

    U!!!!!!!

  • Artist: mute button

  • Please see my comments @ PESWiki / CLaNZeR mike peine The Vgate WORKS ! via PIEZOELECTRICS, etc... It also works by using a BLOCK & TACKLE ! use a pulley to lift the gate... see the atom for things that spin forever...WE have not needed GASOLINE since 1969.A 5lb magnet can pull a nail out of 2x4 from 42" and right though anyone whom stands in the way. SEE LINEAR MOTORS @ H2W or Motion control = Moticon. Voice Coils they can power small motors to big motors at very little in put.

  • @iChxai yes, cos im utterly sick of hearing heavy rock music on nearly every pigging video on you tube >(

  • perpetual motion work well at CGI

  • I don't know man. build the model & if it worked for 5 days continuously then he struck on the gold I guess..LOL
