  • BRAVA!!! GRACIAS POR COMPARTIR.

  • @victoriamorera thanks!

  • @GeorgeMaxwellDuPre No, no cambiará mi opinion.

  • @GeorgeMaxwellDuPre Yes of course one can learn and there are some singers who can do it very very well (Fischer Dieskau singing in french for example) but is not the case of Bayrakdarian...

But even so there is the color of some words, the expression, the real meaning wich is particular of every language and is lost in translation. That i think is marvelous about art...

And yes, Schwarzkopf was a bitch but in some reason she was right

  • @PakoChile But even that isn't true. Someone can learn the language and sing it as well as a native speaker, and there are some people who can fake it very very well and sound better than those who aren't faking it. And just because Elisabeth Schwarzkopf said it, doesn't make it true. Schwarzkopf may or may not have been a nazi BUT she was known not to appreciate very modern, avant guarde music and modern interpretations of standard works. She sounds like the type to say something so narrow.

  • @GeorgeMaxwellDuPre I'm talking about expression, not voice. Surely there can be better voices that De Los Angeles or Berganza on this repertoire, but a non spanish singer singin this pieces???.

same thing, for example, with Gorecki's third symphony... no one can sing that piece better than a polish, even with a voice like Fleming. Its about words, inflections, etc, etc..

Elisabeth Schwarzkopf once said that a non-german singer could never sing a lied properly....

  • @PakoChile I won't even respond to you. But I will remind you that Chopin said he wished he could play his OWN etudes as well as Liszt played them. Why the hell CAN'T someone sing it better than she, even if it is her language? Your narrow-mindedness will merit no further response from me.

  • @GeorgeMaxwellDuPre ur crazy how can a spanish singer be beaten in HER repertoire... there can be better voices but no one understand better this music than a spanish artist

  • Gracias por subir este video, es maravilloso el poder disfrutar de tanta sensibilidad interpreativa.
