In Scandinavia "w" is a "double v", you see - so it's pronunced like a "v" ;-)

Not even close to the original Swedish version, which is far, far superior to this watered -down English version, I mean, it's set in Sweden, for God 's sake, and the cast are speaking English?? Branagh is a great actor, but wasted on this poor relation to the original.

I always thought that Kenneth Branagh looked so terminally depressed as Wallander. This British series is not a patch on the Swedish. I much prefer Wallander played by the other two actors.

I've been watching this series through netflix: it is freaking amazing. Apart from the amazing Swedish scenery, Kenneth Branagh's brilliant acting and the elaborate and lovely plots, the cinematic effects and photography used in this series is just too much!

I strongly recommend it.
