(Warning: Video contains graphic images) Footage taken by an anonymous Uvalde Animal Shelter employee shows conditions at the facility before it was seized by county officials on Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Based on this footage and a subsequent investigation by County Attorney John Dodson, it was found that animals at the shelter were suffering from overcrowding and medical neglect. This shelter needs to be shut down permanently get these dogs into a no kill shelter with nice staff!

Some of these dogs were brought all the way up to North Texas. They were just recently medically released for adoption. I made the adoption of the first Uvalde rescue from the McKinney SPCA. I didn't know about this story until after the adoption. I'm so happy I chose the pet that I did. He is one of the sweetest and most playful dogs ever. I am glad I live so far. I could probably really hurt the people that did this to these animals.

God... I just adopted a dog(Basha) that was saved from that hell hole. I'm so thankful that she survived this.

The dogs rescued by the Humane Society of Williamson County are now available for adoption. They are so ready to give love & to be loved. You can see these beautiful babies in my slide show, "The Many Faces of Unconditional Love."

Thank you for getting your camera in there and helping the animals. I really want to know how a business can get away with this. Hoarding or not!!! Why wouldn't the business be check once every six months or something by the county??? I think IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN until the checks and balances happen! COUNTY WORKERS HAVE JOBS TO DO TOO! Reprimand all involved and ENSURE they are checked in the future as well.
