This opening act for The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. I was just a youngster when I first saw this. But the all girl members are from the TV show "Petticoat Junction and Dobie Gillis. (Yes I remember both of them:) Still a hoot to watch... The video quality is not the greatest, it is all I have. Sorry. Be sure to join this FB site... The Psychedelic Realm & Garage Shop

I love this kind of raw, unpolished and honest garage rock music. My hobby is to rediscover all those great bands from the 60s that didn´t "broke through". It´s a musical treasure. Listen for example to THE ZETTLERS and their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah". Awesome - with a bloody driving beat. And the Golliwogs in "Tell Me". Check up the singer....yes it´s him!!!!!!!

I wonder who played the guitar solo. It sounds a bit like James Burton, but I don't think it's him. Tommy Tedesco, maybe? He did a lot of work for television.

I never saw this version of the song before, I know the famous Beatles song has been remade over and over, how many times I don't know but I intend to watch and listen to them all.

@CarolinaNIM Sheila played some guitar on the Dobie Gillis show. Gosh, I miss that show. You are right, Pat carried the vocals. She also had a nice solo in the "THE TALENT CONTEST" in season one. I think Pat and Jeannine both had bigger things in mind career wise, which is why I think they both left. As a fan of the show, it was too bad, but I can't blame them for doing what was best for them.
