You've obviously never used a Lenovo Thinkpad...I've been a long-term Thinkpad fan, and my x200 is better-built than my flexy T42 made by IBM. It is as good as my 600x in terms of build quality, which is saying a lot.
It's ironic that you mention propaganda, because it's anti-China propaganda that makes people believe that everything out of China is crap. This cannot be further from the truth.

Lenovo thinkpads nowadays made with cheap parts and faulty batteries. Even the case are poorly designed with weak points. Its just not the same thing anymore.

thinkpads are amazing, but I really wonder if they specially reinforced this one :). I know I would if i were giving a press conference like that.

Dude.... your dell comes from china too. This is hardly propaganda, its marketing, and every company does marketing. China is starting to lead the world in innovation nowadays.

my thinkpad r61 rocks i use it like 15 hours per day working and i doesnt even gets slower haha

what u talk about, i own the t61 and the quality is still superb!
china doesnt mean poor quality nowdays , most electronic products come from china.
sony, lg, samsung, toshiba etc. they all have plants there with own high technology production lines.
i am sure u never had a thinkpad in your hands in life, cotherwise u wouldnt talk like that.

What a lousy propaganda! Today's thinkpad is made in china and the quality is cheaper than dell.

I'm not hearing the girls complain though ;)
thinkpads are not just square black cases, you need to look closely and even need to feel and THINK to appreciate its beauty. This is exactly why it is not a cheap looking that catch eyes with meaningless colors and foolish curvatures, those are for teenage kids, not for a man who thinks.

I LOVE the ThinkPad T series.
Durable and rugged. I also like that my screen doesn't wobble and my keyboard doesn't feel like it's about to break at any moment.
Rock solid.
I also LIKE the way it looks. It doesn't have some kinda UFO/ultra futuristic design, it has a very nice conservative black box design. I like it black.
