With each team's offensive pumping on all cylinders in their first game of the season, Jacory Harris with an injured shoulder, lead the U to victory Monday night. The Hurricanes defense was up to the challenge with the game on the line..
The sophomore quarterback threw for 386 yards, the most passing yards by any Miami quarterback in Tallahassee — including a 40-yard pass over double coverage to Travis Benjamin, setting up Graig Cooper's 3-yard touchdown run with 1:53 left — and led the Hurricanes past No. 18 Florida State 38-34 in an instant classic game Labor Day night.
After a failed pass attempt in the endzone and a poor pass interference call, Florida State was given the Miami 2 yard line with 14 seconds left and they could not take advantage of the gift. Christian Ponder rushed three straight incompletions with the Canes' D applying extensive pressure down to the final play, the last coming on a ball that FSU's Jarmon Fortson couldn't handle in the end zone on the game's final play, as the U took the life out of Tallahassee and all of the FSU faithful.
This is the first game on the U's 2009 schedule, unlike the cream puff schedule some teams like the Gators have coming up, the U will be tested over the next few weeks.

You're clearly an upset FSU fan. Sorry you guys had to go down like that, also sorry that your coaching situation is such a mess. No one's making Harris look like a war hero, but since you mentioned it, yeah he did step it up while injured and still manage to beat you guys. Sorry about that too. Oh and all those wide right, wide left misses... you guessed it... sorry about that as well...

His shoulder was numb after the hit. He said after the game he got hit right on the funny bone. Take it as you want - it doesn't change the fact Harris is a baller.

haha yer obviously biased for miami..and fyi..harris deff. didnt have an injured shoulder so try and make him look like a war hero.
