A quick run-down of some of the features available in my game engine. The engine is a project I worked on in my spare time through college (DePaul University, Chicago, IL).

This demo contains footage of camera motion, skeleton animation (with blending and interpolation), a collision demo, and some debug cheats for use during development. You can also see the engine's art, lighting, and terrain capabilities throughout.

The engine is written in C, and allows applications to be written in either C or C++, or a combination of the two. It uses OpenGL as a renderer and uses significant functionality from the Quesa open-source library (for more info, visit http://www.quesa.org ). The engine runs on both Mac OS X and Windows, though this screen capture was taken from the Mac version.

I did all the art assets myself, although I'm not a particularly great artist or animator. I just do it as a hobby, so sorry about the programmer art. I also wrote the music (which is playing in engine, of course). The screen capture was done using Snapz Pro X by Ambrosia Software (http://www.ambrosiasw.com ).

  • @cpcreep Er, actually, every line of this is original code. The engine code consists of about 30 files, ranging for about 400 to about 2000 lines apiece. That doesn't even count the "game" code, which is what you see in the video. I don't see how you say I "didn't code much" based on this. All the code and assets are mine.

  • @cpcreep Shut up ! He Programm realy realy much...

  • Great work! :)) I prefer this than lazy people who use RPG Maker instead of programming their own games. Keep up the good work!
