This teaches how to design and script a menu for your flash movie or possibly a game. And now you are able to go to my site, and in the news area I have placed a download link so you can see this video full scale and be able to read the scripts I'm typing!

  • srry but how do you do the stop code? can u reply ASAP? THANKS

  • like:

    stop();

  • WHATS THE CODE FOR THE CREDITS BUTTON

  • sorry, it would look like this,

    on(release){

    gotoAndPlay("Credits", 1);

    }

    thats to link the button to a scene titled credits...

  • I can't find the scenes panel, where is it. Because it's not under the 'window' menu.

  • it is in there, but in the "Other Panels" subcategory, so you go to Window>Other Panels>Scene or just press SHIFT+F2

  • like if u came from FluidAnims learn Flash...

  • you sound like a kid. Where did u learn this from?

  • @jibiyuko

    It's been 2 month and you probably either don't care for flash anymore or you figured it out, but you need to make sure your button is actually a button symbol. When you right clicked and hit convert to symbol, it's my guess that you did check the correct box...

  • output says.... **Error** Scene=Scene 3, layer=Layer 2, frame=159:Line 1: Mouse events are permitted only for button instances  on(release){

    Total ActionScript Errors: 1 Reported Errors: 1

  • God, people actually don't know how to make buttons? All you need is onRelease(); , gotoAndStop(); , and stop(); , not a video!

  • @evertte87 maybe you are using AS 3.0

  • @TheDanXable

    This is the Code you input right?

    on(release){

    gotoAndStop("Movie", 1);

    }

    just change gotoAndStop with gotoAndPlay.

  • I did what you said and it didn't work, all I got was a bunch of errors when I tested it. What's wrong?

  • lmfao nuttin to hard

  • im only 13 and i dont think i got this all but ill try thanks for the help
