Veteran voiceover talent Brian James has died. He was 48. James passed away from a heart attack early Friday morning (March 6, 2009) at his residence in Scottsdale, AZ. Born May 30, 1960.
@Decenium This guy was probably the most talent this station ever saw. And go figure he was not even local. The only station with a more annoying tune to it in the whole Fox Valley area would be WAPL which for some reason is allowed to call themselves a classic rock station. If you ever want to hear the most pathetic morning show ever know to mankind tune in to that station. I bet you 10 bucks you can listen to it all morning and never crack a smile.
@Decenium Well living in the area here this station is about as lame as it gets unless you are into a constant repeat loop of top 40 garbage. If song is merely decent that comes out in todays music and it is a top 40 song this station will be the first to get a hold of it and play the shit out of it until you never want to hear it again. It is overly busy and for some reason people listen to it. They push the most watts around here so they probably get listners by default.
RIP Brian, the coolest voice overs for some of Greece's best hit music radio stations, Athens' Kiss fm 909, Thessaloniki's Antenna 97,5 and Kiss fm 96,8!!!
Brian james did was the voiceover guy for wjbq Q97.9 in portland maine for Bangor Maine's z107.3 wbzn fm and he did 93.3fm The powerpig in Tampa fl in late 80s and ealeyr 90's and 970wfla he had great voice
Brian was a great guy. I worked at WAY-FM in Ft. Myers, FL and Brian was our VOS for several years. He was always intrigued by the edgy stuff we did for Christian Hit Radio and loved giving our station some cool attitude. Mark Rider brought him onboard. Mark was another major voice talent that died of a heart attack suddenly in 2001. Roughly the same age as Brian when he passed. When I left FL and opened my production business, Brian cut me some freebies to help me get started. RIP Brian!!
