I just started college at a university. It's the first time I'm alone, I'm 5 hours from all of my friends, and I escaped a life of hardcore drugs and violence to get here. It's a miracle I am saying this today. This song brings all of that into focus for me. I am a very flawed person, but I'm at peace when I listen to this.

What David Tolk doesn't know, is that I wrote my application essay for my dream college while listening to this song. i listen to music that inspires me so that I, too, may be inspirational on my papers. What David Tolk doesn't know.. is that I got accepted to my dream college, particularly because of this essay. One in which I wrote with tears falling down my face.. so much so to even comment on this video, to perhaps inspire someone else to listen to it, too.
