The Fine Arts Building, 410 South Michigan Avenue in Chicago, hosts monthly open studio events each second Friday.
The building's motto, painted inside its entrances: "All passes - art alone endures." Designed by Pullman architect and planner Solon S. Beman, and completed in 1885 as a showroom and assembly plant for the South Bend, Indiana-based Studebaker Carriage Company, the Fine Arts Building today houses one of the oldest urban arts communities in the country.

Yes, I've had a space here for over 4 years. Very European atmosphere and great community of artists. Also, many music studios, violin makers, dance, theater, web design, fantastic!
