After a few cycles of the glow plug system the generator decided to start for me. Oil pressure was good and no smoke can be seen from the exhaust pipe. Noise level is pretty high so hearing protection is a must around this thing!

  • hey, nice generator, i have a military surplus generator/compressor with 120 service hours, cummins 5.9l 6bt. in a enclosed utility style trailer with sliding side doors, the compressor is a stand alone with 4000psi output, not for sure the kw rating. do you know what these go for??? planning to move to alaska, would this be ideal??? Thanks Alex

  • Hi Alex, not sure what your unit is worth but would love to see photos. I'll run it by a friend of mine who knows more about the value of military surplus. My rig cost me a little over $800.00 for the trailer and generator.

  • Actually it is only a 5KW unit but it is under rated I think. Very versatile unit with an abundance of voltage settings and heavy duty electrical connectors for the big amperage items. I plan to hook it into our main power box but will have to shut off the central air system in order for everything else in the house to work. The 10KW unit looks just like this and will run everything in the house. Thanks for commenting on my video!
