Chi Sao ( Sticky Hands) is a perfect exercise to achieve a higher level of sensitivity , responding reflex, unconscious perception, absorbing and resorbing offensive energy. Chi Sao is to think without thinking. Once you have reached a higher level in Chi Sao , you will be a more complete fighter, Notice...... Chi Sao is not a fighting exercise nor is it a Sparring form. It doesn't replace realistic sparring but on the other hand, every good wing chun fighter has very high Chi Sao skills

  • #1 goes to WSL and Wan Kam Leung( Although the latter might have surpassed his teacher, the former) and #2 Duncan Leung #3 to Emin and #4 to Augustine. Yip Man's son are not even at par to the top 4 in this video...what a shame. Just a humble opinion and observation

  • Emin's strong like bull...

  • @Acification95 Not only to block and attack at the same time. Throu Chi Sao you practice everything you have learned, and you also train your mind to perform such techniques, so you will do them as a everyday normal thing, like writing, or riding a bicycle... When you take your pen and write, you do it with ease, that feelin' you will reach when you practice Chi Sao that much... TAI my friend :)

  • what is the point of this?

why do you do this if this is not how you spar/fight?

  • If there is no Tsui Mah, is there really Chi Sau?

  • gay

  • @TriAlphaSystem What do you think a soldier does when he is in a real gun fight? Do you think his adrenaline spoils years of training? You my friend are absolutely WRONG and i mean you don't know what you are talking about. TRAINING Prepares you for EXACTLY THAT.CHAOS. I was in the military and the only thing you think about when you are out there, is your fucking training. You have a lot to learn.

  • You mind is like a parachute, it only works when it's open. "Be water, my friend." what did bruce lee say when he was thirsty???? WAAATTTAAAAAAAAH

  • Just because you went out and bought a brush and some paint, took a class for a week and expect the art of painting to WORK... you need years of practice and training. Even after all that, it still might not work. The only way to find out if something works is to do it (Fight). After a couple of championships, you can consider your martial art (Boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, Kung Fu) FUNCTIONAL or EFFECTIVE. So if you have never painted a thing in your life, don't critisize those who are trying.

  • @TriAlphaSystem there is no problem with Chi Sao, the problem is you. There is no problem with boxing, yet out of hundreds of thousands of boxers, only few are KNOWN to practice the art at a functional and effective level. There is no problem with the paint and brushes... the problem lies with the painter. How to solve that problem is not my problem, it is the ARTISTS'. One more, you can learn mma/ufc BJJ Taekwondo, Karate, BOXING, but it doesn't mean it will work.

  • @AssilalOmega well you should have said that instead...because your previous statement implies that the people doing chi sao are fighting, which they are not.....they might be fighting for each other's centerline but chi-sao, when done properly, is a just a training drill...no ego....no actual hitting

  • @YoungCrs becouse i am able to say itthey over came them selves ... matrial arts isnt there for to attack ...matrial arts is only there for to defend other or one selve.

if u use matrial arts for a fight just only to fight and hurt other people then thats wrong ...even if u use it to winn a cup then matrial arts has no meaning well the matrial arts that u use.
