This video was taken during Pangsau Pass Winter Festival 2008 celebrated at Nampong in changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. This Festival is celebrated annually in the month of January. Main attraction of the festival is Colourful display of cultural dances from various tribes of Arunachal Pradesh, Myanmar and neighbouring states. It also host Traditional Food Fiesta, ethnic and modern fashion shows to promote Tourism in the area. A trip to Myanmar at Pangsau pass without PASSPORT is also main attraction during this Festival. There are about 20 Major tribes with a number of Sub-Tribes in Arunachal Pradesh. Each tribe has its own dialect, dress, customs, dresses & festivals. The Major tribes are: Adi ,Apatani, Bugun, Galo, Hrusso, Khamba, Memba, Meyor, Mishmi, Monpa, Nyishi,Sajolang,Sartang, Sherdukpen, Tagin, Khamti ,Yobin, Tangsa, Singpho, Tutsa, Wanchoo and Nocte. The video is of Nocte Tribe residing in Tirap district bordering Nagaland and Myanmar.
