A very lame name for perhaps the best anthem in the world. Russia's anthem at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics...now with better volume.

When the Russian choir came out and sang the anthem in Vancouver....Wow that was epic

  • I was so very glad to hear this beautiful sung at the olympics. I have loved it for years.

  • @michaelwuzthere well they can't use the Soviet flag so I guess that's what they got stuck with... :P

  • The flag just doesn't match the song like the great red banner. :\

  • i searched baginas and got this....

  • The Best Anthem I had ever heard

  • i love the russian anthem

  • @bgsmooth23 I agree (Candian as well) , when I was at the closing ceremony it was epic. I am planning on going to the winter olympics in Sochi but I was wondering if it is faux pas to learn and sing their anthem out of respect?

  • @Tilen133 omg grow up, you, in soviet russia ''Sniper shoots'' you ITS NOT FUNNY

  • In Soviet Russia anthem plays you!

  • in soviet russia, national anthem gets played

  • When the anthem is applied only to Russia as a country the "land that gives us birth" Rodina is the traditional sentiment, but this is the Federation Anthem as it was the Soviet Unions. The maternal feelings of Russian peoples to the land is not shared with other nations. For the sake of Union or Federation the term used means "of the fathers" followed by..."union of fraternal peoples" in plural. Not fatherland but a union of fraternal nations or fathers. Poetry and politics.
