Remove a tick from a dog's ear by grabbing the tick close to the skin with tweezers and applying firm pressure to pull the tick out. Make sure the head of the tick is removed to prevent infection with tips from a veterinarian in this free video on dog care.

  • i just use a match. light the match, let it burn for a sec, blow it out, keep blowing on it tell u get a lil ember going, tap the ember on the ticks butt and it will pull itself out head and all.

  • This isn't as effective as the new way. You have to rub the tick in a circular motion as if trying to make it dizzy and it literally falls out. This is more effective because just like he said, if you don't pinch every bit off the tick the head can still hurt the dog, and with this method the enitire tick falls right off. : )

  • @tapoe1800 that will make the tick pike up the blood back into the dog with the diseases the tick was carrying

  • Why don't you just pop with tick? use a couple of tissues of course. Or burn it :)

  • @tapo1800 no dude dont do that! when you burn ticks while theyre still feeding it causes them to expell the blood inside them into the wound when they fall off it can cause serious infections an the tick could have parasites in it already!! use a tick solution like another person said or grab them firmly to the skin with tweezers

  • @woa11 wow are you serious? I HATE ticks! i don't see them on my dog though...
