I absolutely agree about Mr. Rochester! Actually, Jane Eyre opened my eyes about Toby. I saw the film after I had read the book and I was fascinated. I cried during the proposal scene :( There can't be a better Rochester. I strongly recommend "The Best Man" - from what you tell me, I think you will enjoy it a lot :) The story is really intriguing :)

hard to say really. I haven't seen 'The Best Man' but now that you've alerted me to it, I really want to.
As for my favourite of his, I'd say it's a toss up between Jane Eyre, Sharpe's Challenge and Wired...maybe Jane Eyre is a little in front - he just played Rochester sooo perfectly.

Well my favourite movie is "The Best Man". I think his acting there is very strong and the character is dark and enigmatic. This suits Toby perfectly. I think this is his sexiest role :) What about you?

he's singing one of the songs from Franz Schubert's Lieder-Cycle "Die schoene Muellerin". It's not the best version, however ;)
I like Toby Stephens very much, but this film doesn't seem a good adaptation of "Evgeniy Onyegin"... It's VERY strange to hear this "I'm Lensky, like totally Vladimir Lensky" way of speaking from both actors - I just can't believe that their characters are Russian and not British ^^"

The two of them are among the greatest British actors ever!!! I am from Bulgaria and and I learned for the existence of Toby not long ago,but ever since I've downloaded most of his films and I think he is exceptonaly talented!!!! Not to mention his appearance....He is extremely goodlooking...Too bad he is married...
