@Curas1 Re: LSD mold in the wheat. It's funny, fundamentalists take the Bible as literally as they can, militant atheists tend to take the Bible as literal because it sounds so silly that way. But both sides assume that the authors were sincere, that they didn't intend it as a joke or as fiction. I don't know how we can be sure of that. The way that some fiction tries to be more convincing is by saying, "I'm not making this up, this really happened, true details." See Leno or Conan's monologs.

@Curas1 So I accept the possibility that some of the authors of the Bible might have been hallucinating because of mental illness or psychedelic things they accidentally or intentionally ate. Also a person can induce hallucinations easily with sleep deprivation and other stresses, so it could have been that. But I think it's also possible that the original authors were just writers of fables or fiction or hoaxes who may never have intended readers to take it seriously or literally.

That's true, but I've also heard the wizard of Oz theory that everything has a specific meaning that has been lost or scribed away throughout history.

Then again I think we also have to consiter the lens of history, that it's almost impossable to divorce yourself from known or accepted norms of society that gives much of our reality the pretext it does , not in a supernatural but perceptual way sense I'm a naturalist.
