NOV.20 UPDATE: JUST UPLOADED BETTER COPY HERE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuIFkVA76z8 (FIRST UPLOAD WAS DONE FROM SAN FRAN, THE NIGHT OF THE CONCERT, AS SOON AS I GOT BACK TO MY HOTEL ROOM, BUT YOUTUBE DIDN'T LIKE THE FORMAT OF MY CAMCORDER FILES AND SOMEHOW SQUISHED OUR HERO PAUL INTO A SKINNY BEANPOLE! IN HONOR OF THE VIDEO REACHING 10,000 VIEWS TODAY, I JUST UPLOADED AN MPEG VERSION OF THE FILE WHICH YOUTUBE PLAYS IN THE CORRECT PROPORTIONS WITHOUT PINCHING THE SCREEN, SO NOW PAUL AND HIS BANDMATES HAVE A LITTLE MORE ELBOW ROOM AS YOU WATCH THEM PLAY! SEE THE "NEW AND IMPROVED" COPY HERE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuIFkVA76z8 )

The first song on this clip, "San Francisco Bay Blues", I don't remember ever hearing him perform that before (must've missed Unplugged!). The last one of course is the tribute to George Harrison. "Something" has been recorded by other artists more than almost every other Beatles song, with the sole exception of Yesterday. And I love the change-up from single-instrument acoustic to full band, what a fantastic arrangement.

  • We were sitting directly in front of the side screens on the left side, so we didn't get to see the big screen, which means we didn't get to see the photos of George Harrison during Something. Thanks for posting.

  • @cueball6101989, luckily this wasn't my first Paul McCartney concert this year, I was at the March 31 Hollywood Bowl show, where I missed part of the George slideshow, but knowing about it in advance allowed me to be prepared and get that on camera in Frisco. And hey, thanks for the Live And Let Die video btw! ... wish I'd gotten that one on my camcorder!

  • LOVE it!! Did you happen to tape 1985 or Mrs Vanderbilt?

  • @moonbeatle, not this time, I skipped those because I had recorded them both earlier this year at the March 31 Hollywood Bowl show, and was saving my camcorder battery for some other songs I hadn't recorded yet. Maybe I'll try to get more of my Hollywood Bowl footage uploaded to youtube.

  • I was at this concert! It was once in a lifetime and I still watch videos I took while there! Still can't believe I saw his incredible man live and heard his stories about John and George.... I love him.

  • Paul is always full of surprise songs he rarely or never played before- I love it!

  • i was at this concert with my dad and he told me paul played 34 songs! damn paul at 68 still gots it!

  • If anyone wants the link to dl the dvd of this show, (it's a collection of hq youtube clips), pm me. (hint: demonoid) they also have the audio.

  • I am very envious of A) Your camera and B) Your proximity to the stage! I was so far back up in the stands it wasn't even funny, but I was there, so I guess that's all that matters right :D

  • @moonbeatle, I have 1985, but not Mrs. Vanderbilt. Look back at my page at some point later in the week for it. I'll be posting some videos from the concert. I only have one up right now, which is Live & Let Die.

  • nice audio and lots of closeups.
