  • Oh, and what's best for a beginner? A chromatic or a diatonic? Thank you, and thank you again for this wonderful music! :) Best regards from Norway

  • @mariannethor Thanks for watching.

  • I'm new to dulcimers but am hoping to get a chromatic. However, I've never seen a book on chr dulcimers. Could you suggest one for a beginner? Any other advice? Thanks. (I play flute and some other noted (not chord) instruments.)

  • @rbentrdr Thanks for watching. I don't know of any books for chromatic dulcimer, but if you already understand a little bit about music, you can use books for diatonic dulcimers. My favorite dulcimer books is "Hands-On Dulcimer" by Mike Casey.

  • Very nice technique. Thank you.

  • @olmmbill Thanks for watching.

  • @PresidentFish1 Thanks for watching. Yes, this is a chromatic dulcimer. All the dulcimer builders that I know make chromatic dulcimers on request.

  • Hold on, I thought dulcimers have the frets pulled out so it is just a diatonic scale? Yours appears to have all the frets.

  • @jakethefiddle Thanks for watching.
