The National War Memorial and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier are tributes to all Canadians who have served Canada in war. Located a short distance from the Peace Tower in the heart of Canadas Capital, these commemorations are the rallying point for Canadians to pay homage to our soldiers.

The following storie is based on the letters, journal entries and military records of Elmer Paudash. Told in is own words, it reflect the stories of thousands of those to whom we owe a debt for the freedoms we enjoy today.
