Petal band is a very good clean band with a good sound. How in the world South Haven beat you I will never know. Your band performs a show for half time which is what I thought marching bands were suppose to do, not try to do a concert band performance on the field. I got bored with south haven real fast. I think the judges forgot what a half time show is suppose to do.

Hey congratulations Petal high on first place at Emerald coast classic this year. I watched the dvd and you guys were awesome and deserved it. Im the trombone section leader from Fort Walton High and i really dont know how our gaurd got the best in devision.

I really hope we got back to Fort Walton this year. It was awesome and it gives the freshmen to experience a prelims then finals setup.

Petal Shows are also more Drum Corps style sounding than others in MS. Notice the heavy brass sound throughout the band. :)

Petal Bands has gone to Bands of America before.
We don't have that much money to go every year.
We like doing stuff that's important to us, like being in the Inaugural parade. :)

this makes me feel so bad, but thank you guys for supporting petal and all that we worked for. we should have won that competition but there was no way some band from mississippi was going to take a florida trophy.

Actually It has happend before. A Band from Georgia or Alabama won at the West Florida Classic and not a Florida Band. And Personally, I think you guys did better than FWB.
