I know that. What I ment was this should be the sheep version of the song not the goat version because it's not a goat it's a sheep.

In his career Jackman won 2 Tony. Unlike Wilkinson, he's perfectly able to sing and act at the same time, Jackman is one of the most talented performers around, equally at home on film and on stage. I remind you that Wilkinson lost to Robert Lindsay for both the Olivier and the Tony for the same competing roles. He lost for his performance as Valjean, both in London and on Broadway, to Lindsay's portrayal in Me and My Girl, as you can see he's not God, but especially he's not an film actor.

In a motion-picture adaptation it's important to hear the emotion and acting they put in to their singing, which is something that can transform a song from that of a recording artist, to that of an actor.

Tom Hooper's Les Miserables is a movie not the play, two different things and it's with this in mind that must be watched and judged, comparisons with any theatrical version doesn't make sense. Hooper did not want mannerisms and theatrical virtuosity for his movie, he asked for realism, because what works in theatre cannot work in a movie.
