@soundbeans im chinese and i believe its supposed to add some soy sauce to just kinda make the rice look nicely golden and the soy sauce does give a little bit of a flavor that makes the friedrice smell good

@strummingnerd so since this is the only guy who didn't use soy sauce, that means that the authentic recipe doesn't use soy sauce???

What's the best type of rice to use for egg fried rice...Basmati, Jasmine, short grain medium grain?

add the rice already cooked or hard and out of the sack? if cooked how do you cook it? steam?
