To be honest I'm feeling an album where John does whatever the shit he wants. Cause he's John Mayer. Who say's he can't make a Dylan-like album? If your a true fan, you'll like whatever he puts out, cause then you know it comes from his heart. Nothing compares in these times of music to the amount of soul he puts in his own music. I can't be "involved" with Mayer anymore. I just have to listen at a distance. I hate his fans. It's so much different than it was 6,7 years ago. Buncha goddamn stupid Twilight type girls who invariably have something to say about his looks, as if it has ANYthing to do with anything. And the guys who pretend they know what guitar playing is by suddenly jumping on the blues train - guarantee they don't own a blues collection or know any history. To be honest I don't care who John's fans are or who listens to his music. As long as they appreciate his music for what it is, I'm happy. John Mayer is one in a million and I think that's something everyone NEEDS to see. So who care's if you 12 or 112, if you love and feel his music, then your age or gender shouldn't matter.

@BrannonMcConkey I feel it man. I'll always be a big JM fan 'cause he's a great songwriter, performer, and musician, but the scene is just too much. The last time I went to see him, it was as you said- a bunch of girls who want to bang him, and a bunch of "blues guitarists" who pretty much go "Albert who?"

At the end of the day Mayer writes pop (and I for one, love pop). It's ridiculous to compare him to people like Bob Dylan and Neil Young; or even SRV for that matter.

this is the shit. i would love to hear john put out this style of album. he can always do more blues with the trio.
