  • @shortshorty4456 Not to be disrespecful, but they are flat wrong. Castle Rock (Castleon Tower) area looks a great deal like the features in Monument Valley. That is problably where the confusion comes in. I know this area extremely well. I live within a mile of Castle Rock and it is out our front window. I can point out many of the other features in the commercial like Round Mountain, the Priest and Nuns and the Rectory, Mother Superior, etc.

  • @r2wolcott i just got back from navjoland and we went to monument valley & we were told that is was filmed there along with a bunch of other movies and such.

  • Did they leave the car there for posterity ?

If I was that woman sitting there, I would be shittin' myself !

  • ☆☆☆☆☆

  • Does anybody have any idea who the voice over artist is? He did a lot of GM ads...

  • @sof1map i guess by helicopter

  • popsci* com/archive-viewer?id=mi0DAAAAMBAJ&pg=91 scroll almost half way down and there are photos and how they did it articles.

  • @slk320k I believe that this IS that commercial. 120 M.P.H. winds picked up terrifying her for 2 HOURS before they could get her back down. She had no place to hide but the inside of the car.

  • It is an amazimg advertisement.

I found out from another video here on YT that the actor sitting in the car later sued AFC when she became stranded up there with the car during a gale force wind. It was apparently quite a few hours before they could get her down and she was alone, without communications, and terrified.

But at least she had played her part in automotive history!

  • Commercials were much longer then, huh?
