http://www.facebook.com/pages/Hair-Club-for-Men-LTD-Inc/57120362465 Male Speaker 1: Hi, Im Julian White. Im 42 years old and this year I decided to have hair transplant surgery. Theres a couple of reasons why I chose to do it. One, Im not going to deny its vanity. It does affect my confidence. The second reason is medical. Im living an active lifestyle, just like to be outdoors and the sun would hit my head and leaves a potential for skin cancer.

Male Speaker 2: My first day of my hair transplantation surgery. Im so excited more than anything else. Ive been waiting for this day for many, many years. Id finally made up my mind and Im doing this. Im glad youre tagged along for this journey with me. So, come on in with me.

Male Speaker 3: And Im a little nervous of course, I mean even though I made the decision and I am confident about it, still some nerves going on. But once I arrived we walked in, I felt really, really confident, you know, I was in their hands now, and you know, there was no turning back. And I wanted to meet with the doctor, even though I met with them once before and we knew we were going to be doing 3500 drafts I just wanted to make sure we knew exactly what I wanted, so we went into the consultation room and we sat down and review my paper work

Male Speaker 4: So I just talked with Dr. Daphne and got me fully assured that its going to come out wonderful today, so this adds to my excitement.

Male Speaker 5: Julian gets [indiscernible] [0:01:30] we walked him in to our hair wash room where his scalp and his hair gets washed with antiseptic. Also, after that he gets walked by one of us, also to the actual procedure room.

Male Speaker 6: Its all about to happen, here it is. Nervous is starting to come in a little bit right now. But not too bad, not too bad at all, it is all enjoying little while, very comfortable chair. The instruments are sterilized are laid up precisely where it need to be.

Male Speaker 7: Preparation for Julian to walk in the room.

Male Speaker 8: I expected a clean environment, but this room looks very professional, very well-lit, laid out and organized, every all the instruments you can tell has been sterilized that really made me feel better. So the medical assistance then have to prepare me for the surgery. They took my vital statistics. They gave me a series of pills which are antibiotics and relaxing, just to help me through the surgery as I needed it.

Male Speaker 9: From here I draw out the hair line and that will based on shape of his face, the size of his forehead, with respect to his loss.

Male Speaker 10: About now, you are sort of the human art student, I think youre drawing a decision on the back of my neck to remove the donor area.

Male Speaker 11: I don't know about you but none of us really like needles and most people dont.

Male Speaker 12: You get a little valium on the front end to help him relax, followed by local anesthesia to numb the areas.

Male Speaker 13: And once the first needle is inserted the anesthesia immediately takes effect and you dont really feel the rest of the pin pricks. So its actually -- it is quite easy. So now of course I am in the chair. I'm ready to go. Im committed. Im excited now. Theres no turning back and that was the best part. Its like, wow, were on this journey. I knew all the staff is ready. They had drawn in my face and take the measurements. My head was anesthetized. Here we go. Its time for the donor area.

  • How'd you get them to let you have the camera in there videotaping what's happening while the surgery is going on?

  • I approached them and asked if I could document my experience with it. They agreed and this is all that came out of it. I am a web designer so I had some friends help with this.

  • how much did it cost?

  • It depends on hair loss. How much hair loss do you have? I can only give you an estimate. Write me a message if you don't want to talk about it on here.
