Theo doesn't 'suck", unless you demand a world serieas champion every season, relax, breath deep and don't jump ship....of course even the sugestion that you will root for the rangers over the Sox says it all...you are not a Sox fan. Have fun with the rangers.

Lowell was fine but it's clear he would be gone anyway after '10 so they just made the move now. As for third it looks like Beltre who may or may not prove to be an upgrade....of course Youkilis can play third and they may look for somebody to hold down 1B. They are easier to find.

And what third baseman do you speak of? Beltre? Youkilis, if they put KOTCHMAN at 3B? Tejada? Right now, there no avaliable 3B that can make an impact in the future. Lowell was their best option at 3B this season, and they traded him away.

This is complete bullshit by Epstein. If there isn't a huge blockbuster trade coming from this, then I'm becoming a Rangers fan. Lowell had a great season last year, especially considering how much playing time he got. You suck Theo!

It's all about the future, lowell really doesn't have one, thats NOT to say Max rameriz does, he likely doesn't either but this will allow the Sox to get a third baseman who they can count on. It isn't much of a shock to Sox fans i would guess as Lowell's name was always coming up as a plyer who might be moved.
