  • Thanks, I have a 99 YZ400f and I've never taken the engine apart at all, your videos have helped me tremendously! I'm putting a new timing chain on and manual tensioner, hopefully that will fix my troubles.

  • Can I use a regular 2 or 3 prong gear puller? Or does it have to be the special one?

  • @wayloncle43 There's really not way to get the prongs between the stator and the flywheel. The correct tool is about $15 I believe.

    I looked at mine and there is room to hook a puller back there but Ima going to buy the right puller to be safe. Thanks

  • how did u get the nut off before u get to the flywheel puller?

  • the nut which holds the flywheel must be turned anti clockwise to be removed ?
