Born in Dallas, Texas the great SRV became a legend for his fantastic guitar skills. Though taken away from us too early at the age of 35 in 1990, his plane crashed in East Troy, Wisconsin. His impact on the world is one many can not touch. A memorial statue in his honor rests in Austin, Texas at Lady Bird Lake. Many of his influences included Jimi Hendrix, Albert King, and Buddy Guy. His hits include Cold Shot, Love Struck Baby, Texas Flood, Tightrope, Crossfire, Pride and Joy, and Couldn't Stand the Weather.
