Derby Driver Interviews

Excerpts from another of my early videos...I was told the derby drivers were checking-in, so I went out with a camera and did some interviews on-the-fly. This was "local drivers only" night, so they're all from Yolo County, and about half of the ones I talked to are kids driving in the new compact car class.

Derby announcer Tim Gilbert conducted the first interview you'll see, and then he cut me loose in the pits. The interviews ran with the local broadcast of that night's event.

The yearly demolition derby in this town has been the local equivalent of the Superbowl and the World Series wrapped up into one...but it's more fun, since everyone knows the participants!
