The Pool was moved next to the Vitamin Shoppe Warehouse. And there will be a big mall with Wal-Mart, BJs, Applebees, Circuit City, Sleepy, Gamestop, Staples and others on the area where APA and the North Bergen Pool were located. They are finishing the Applebees at this moment and the rest of the stores will open by next year.

North Bergen was a great place to grow up in the 60's and 70's. What a shame that "s**thole" is used for this formerly wonderful town.

i worked there back in 77 and 78(2yrs)

I grew up on 91st and 2nd Ave. All those condos used to be Sier Bath Gear Co. That place made a LOT of people in that neighborhood sick! The Dumbells gym used to be Speakerman's Bakery. Man, that was a looooong time ago. They also just knocked down the old Toufayan Bakeryand and a Wallgreens is being built in its place.
