Hillsong United "Yours Forever" bass tab/cover in Drop D - Tear Down The Walls - 2009

I daintily tabbed out every note played by the bassist in Hillsong United for this song. There is an accompanying tab to the music and video.

There's a bonus section with a Joe Cocker cover cover of "With A Little Help From My Friends" at the end. I added that in hopes that I could one day cover it in a band. Hint, hint. It's a novelty song. haha. I was a bit off the tempo in the Joe Cocker cover cover. It was hard to hear the song over my bass. I had to set the levels for the optimum video experience, and it made my playing time hard.

I was also a little fast in the Hillsong United song. In the second half of the bridge, where the bass plays a cool rhythm following the snare drum, I might have dragged behind or added or subtracted a few hits. That part was challenging for me. Really the whole song was hard for me. I was bouncing up and down off my butt to keep time because tapping out the rhythm with my legs wasn't keeping me on time. Really it did not matter how I kept with the tempo. I just was trying to psyche myself out and maybe be unfortunately superstitious by doing a winning motion to the music. That is how I saw it.

Please keep me in your prayers. I have been gifted with three opportunities band-wise. The first is in a praise band. I don't know when we will play next, but I learned this song for that band. We have played one retreat and one special youth event for a church so far. At least that was my involvement as they had done stuff before me together. Pray that that venture goes well for all. Pray I fill my role and really overfill it. Pray I am entrusted to do more things and greater things with the band.

The second opportunity is in a side-project. It's with a person I am at my wit's end to opine on. I almost expect nothing from this as it has been slow going so far. I have a great many issue with trusting people of the likes of who is in the band. Pray it goes well. Pray more so that I am protected from being used and abused.

The third opportunity is with a band-band. I think nothing of its possibilities. It would be the one of the three that I would take leaving the rest of my life behind for ten years if I could. Pray I get in this band. Pray everything works out for me. Pray equally two more things: that I am protected from abuse and that I draw close and stay close and obedient to God through and/or despite all of this.

Pray lastly again that I near myself as much as can happen to God. Pray I am protected and blessed. Pray that God Has Mercy On me. Thank you very much for all of that. I've prayed for you in return.

I do not know what my next song will be. I hope it is a good one. I am going to ask two worship leaders hopefully tomorrow about what new, which is important, epic songs they have come across that would be reasonable to consider and to cover and to receive high view-counts from.
