  • apes lack brains and fish need fed, a somalian is a good meal for the fish

  • @JohQx3 I realize that Somailia is a shithole. I don't have to go there in order to realize that, but that doesn't make me sympathize with pirates. Living in a shithole doesn't justify piracy. Making a connection between poor people trying to survive and pirates demanding millions of dollars in ransom is sick and disrespectful. If the rest of the world starts doing what the russians do you can rest assured that there won't be any piracy in Somalia after 50 years

  • @baroh2413 I think you should actually be sent to some poor African country so you'd realize the situation there. Of course pirating is wrong, but the reason why they are pirating is clear. Sure, one can try to hunt pirates, but it won't solve the problem. Think you wouldn't offer a drug addict a rehab, but a prison time/execution for doing drugs. But hey, we can keep the situation as it is, and not even try to solve the problem. And notice there's still pirates in Somalia after 50 years of hunt

  • @JohQx3 I think you should sail to Somalia and let them catch you, and hope that somebody will pay ransom. If you are freed then go back and let them catch you again. That way you can save them all (unless they kill you), because by your logic they will stop when they have enough money to feed their families.

  • @JohQx3 so the problem is Somalias lack of a proper government and not that there supposedly aren't any fish to catch. We're living in the 21st century and not the stone age. All pirates are fair game. If you choose to hunt other people in order to save yourself you must expect the countrymen of those innecent people to consider you their enemy. Regardless of your situation.

  • @baroh2413 Situation in Somalia is a bit different than situation where you live. Do those pirates look like someway rich to you, someway well-enough-doing that they might have a choise between not pirating and pirating. Surprise, surprise, they don't have any kind of welfare system there. If you can't feed your family, your family will starve. I wouldn't wonder one robbing a bank, if it'd be only way to keep ones family alive.

  • @JohQx3 Nobody forced anyone to become pirates. They just made it harder to be fisherman. But noone forces anyone to become a criminal because they can't make a living from what they used to do. Does my employer force me to rob a bank, if he fires me and I can't pay my bills? Am I forced to rape someone if i get caught in a fire and my face become disfiguered and no women wants to go near me?

  • @baroh2413 And the ones who forced them to become pirates aren't criminals? Hah!

  • @JohQx3 If you choose to help or negotiate with people who are criminal then you are a fool.

  • @baroh2413 Of course not. 2 wrongs don't make either right. But going to ''pirate hunt'' instead of actually trying to help the state of the pirates is just foolish. Pirates won't stop pirating, as long as its their only way to feed their families. Getting rid of the ones who steal their source of livelihood would improve both sides more than being on the pirate hunt.
