  • There is nothing in braile too.

  • They don't care about blind people, clearly

  • There doesn't seem any protection to account for 'bad behaviour'. Everyone drives perfectly - apparently. And there is no CCTV if things go wrong even... just the basics really.

  • Excellent idea, based on research not anecdote as can be read here by many posting comments.

  • I love the concept.

    What worries me there is abosolutely NO protection for pedestrians. NONE.

    And protection IS needed to account for the type of behaviour and accidents that can happen anywhere.

    Problems that could occur with no protection;

    1. Drivers foot slips off pedal - can piles into pedestrians. (normally space to compensate and recover with pavements etc)

    2. Drunk driver driving erratically (normally barriers and kerbs can give time for pedestrians to react)

    etc etc

  • I've uploaded my Anti-Ashford Spared Space video.

  • the Blined had already got a Shared Space Youtube Video. Guidedogsuk. They hate it.

  • i don't know. How are blind people supposed to read signs??

  • half an hour to read ?

  • all we want for Ashford is some roads not shared space
