Is a far-reaching Chinese navy a threat to American naval superiority or to the West? Is China simply a major power, peacefully rising and pursuing its natural national interests? Perhaps, ruling the waves doesn't have the same importance in the 21st century? What do you think?

  • @Prfactist China has no Bill Of Rights, no freedom of: speech, religion, press, movement, private property rights, jury trial by peers, presumption of innocence, no right to assemble, protest or redress the government. According to Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, China executes more political prisoners than all nations combined. China will execute you for over 65 different violations and then harvest their organs.

  • The only navy in the world with the stated mission of defending global sea lanes is the United States Navy. The Chinese Carrier is no threat to the US, but is meant to impress their power upon other Asian nations like Vietnam. The US should really be worried about the DF series of missiles and Chinese Submarines. The Chinese are a great people, but the Chinese Communist Party should not be trusted with that sort of power, given its disregard for human life and dignity.

  • that carrier is no threat without a catapult......the followup ships with trained air groups will have strike capacity that is projectable.....numbers then will be needed but as of the present the Chinese Carrier has little power but defense and that only in its own adjoining area....

  • @canaryman69 Ive been to China and i know couple of people that lives in China, its really not that bad lol, your right with all those things but i never knew about more execute reasons and more political prisoners than all nations combined and then harvest their organs. According to Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International? Where can I find those info? Please send me a link im interested.

  • @canaryman69 Kinda sounding like the U.S.

  • @MrCerberusshadow We already have unmanned Drones, we had them since 2009.

  • The U.S. is a Republic, not a democracy. The Constitution and rights thereof are trampled on, ignored, and twisted everyday. The government answers to no-one and does exactly as they want. Other countries don't demand explanations from the U.S. on how they are conducting huge military spending. Why should China, or any other country be obligated to table an explanation? Great Britain ruled the seas, and everyone bitched about it, including the U.S.A.. Now the U.S.A does it and bitches at others.

  • 1.24 - What do you think he's staring at for? lol.

  • @PCGamerPortal Wish I could totally disagree with you, but there has been a certain lack of regard amongst certain elements of our society. I believe in capitilism, but some take it too much as a religion and human dignity be damned if it doesn't earn some fat cat more money.

  • In case there's is a military conflict between US and China.. US will win the war with their allies in the pacific region JAPAN, SOUTH KOREA, TAIWAN, THE PHILIPPINES, AUSTRALIA are the main strategic areas where they will hit target from Chinese military installation with long range missiles.. Remember the United States is always ahead in terms of military capabilities..

  • @Prfactist I think you are right, the same goes for the US though. The have too mcuh power and too little regard for human life and dignity.

  • China wants the Filipino black gold.
