Restored over the last two years, the Stone Mill, built in 1840 by the Lorillard family for their large milling operation, was designated a New York City Landmark in 1966 and a National Historic Landmark in 1976. The 100-acre historic Stone Mill precinct comprises one of the largest, most varied historic landscapes in New York City and the Lower Hudson Valley.
