This is part 2 of the run featuring the hardest BOSS in video game history. I admit that I was starting to get really nervous at the end of the game, because I didn't want to screw up! Yes... he is that hard... or is he? Well, find out by watching this last part!

Stay tuned for other amazing gameplay videos from the SHMUPGurus!

Gradius for the Nintendo Entertainment System, done on 07/23/07.

*Total video time: 15 min 30 sec*
*Music: Nothing too fancy for the edit this time, just plain old Gradius musics and sound effects, at KRIK's request. I tried to find some remixes but I failed miserably. Oh well! =P*

  • How do u skip a stage? i get frustrated when i die on stage 3 or 4 coz if u die once that's it. it's over. Please how do u skip a stage? sometimes it just does it by itself. thank u

  • Well, to be honest, I have no idea myself! I think you have to obtain a certain score in a stage. I mean, I tried my best "not to" skip a stage for this run, but as you can see, I failed horribly!

You just have to be good or something. o_O

  • This game. Idiots today think that the japanese animu shmuppers, mainly the Touhou series are anything in the least hard. Fuck that. This game is one of the hardest shmuppers i've played, i can beat Perfect Cherry Blossom and Ikaruga on hardest difficulty settings, yet this game troubles me. It is unforgiving and evil, and i can't salute you enough for finishing it like this.

  • You pretty much have to no miss this damn game in the first place to beat it >.<

Dying on the last stage is a death sentence. Too many enemies firing at you to do anything about it.

  • yep, this vid answered my question.

  • @SHMUPGurus In level 1, when the thousands digit of your score is even, destroy 4 hatches Warp to level 3 after defeating Core Fighter

Destroy Xaerous Core at end of level 2 within 2 seconds of its core turning blue Warp to level 4

Destroy 10 stone heads in level 3 Warp to level 5 after beating level

  • @SHMUPGurus I belive you have to defeat the boss in less then 10s. That's what I've read somwhere. Not really sure.

  • You've got skills bro. It took me years of casual play to beat this one. Even with the konami code. I think what finally helped me win was a turbo-controller.

  • wtf so thats how u will do it...i can go through the final stage without dying but that thing that closes always gets me i never seen whats next that door ...lol now i know im soooooooo close to beat the game...hahahaha and that boss suck..lol and i remembered i thought that door was the boss .. i never enterd that door instead i wait for it to close and shoot it until i bump to it..lol

  • wow your timing is divine i never could get past the Stonehenge heads excellent run through

  • omg o_o

This is the lamest final boss!
