Mostly a dick, but he's had his vulnerable moments. Its clear from that convo he had with the blind soldier in S2 that some part of spite and mischief stemmed from being "different" as he said aka gay. I hope in Season 3 he realizes that his nastiness will never make him happy, leave Downton Abbey, and find some a nice guy to be with.

Thomas just had to be gay, eh? Still hot though. Even when he's smoking, he's hot. And I don't like smoking. He's the type of guy that would make me be okay with it.

@RedRoosterRoad She did it because she thought she was going to be fired, which would have been a much bigger deal back then, especially with a bad reference. Even so, she immediately changes her mind and tries to fix it. And she can't be blamed for what happened between Matthew and Mary -- that's their business, but if you look at it that way you could say she helped them because if Cora had a boy he would have inherited Downton -- and stolen it from them.

@berdachenyc Haha, true, I kind of love his plotting and scheming, and even though it was the black market I really felt bad for him when his business venture busted. I would love it if they introduced a love interest for him though! Maybe a new footman? They could room together and no one would raise an eyebrow! :D

How on earth does that work? Either you're lying or you have wayyyyy too much free time on your hands. As to your choice of words, it's a very nasty word. For the record, no, the actor who plays Thomas is not gay, not that it would be a big deal if he were. I truly feel sorry for you.
