I will never understand the appeal of one and the same thing appearing every once in awhile - The Libertines might have had the energy but what makes them better or more unique than any of their contemporary outsider colleagues or past legendary outsiders,... and for god's sake, comparing The Libertines to The Smiths?!?! The beauty and the beast of The Smiths lies in a completely different approach to music (and media) - The Libertines (Pete Doherty especially seem like a bunch of spoiled brats)

I love Libertines and AM equally for different reason. Pete's urban fairytales and Turners kitchen sink, harsh realities are incomparable. Libertines aggressive, chaotic Rock 'n Roll is completely different to AM's tight, thrashing guitars.

What's the point in acting like a kid?
