Here I am playing my Korg ESX 1 SD as a Drum Machine.
I have cleaned the factory content of internal sampler memory of ESX and loaded with my favorites classical drum machines kits samples and programmed custom kits and patterns, as below:
-TR808
-CR78
-R8
-Casio VL1
-LinnDrum

It is a lot of fun and easy to play and work with this Red Machine. It worth buy one.

GOOD NEWS: Want to download those kits? Please visit the Korgforums . com and then go to the Electribe Section and do a search for Vintage_DM_Cesarsound. I post the link there.

  • the OpenElectribeEditor-v1.0.1.BETA whats this do?

looks awesome dose this mean you no longer need the sd card

  • @owenkitto27

It create an new .esx file or a new sample library from wave samples. Then you transfer this library to your SD card and load it on Electribe. So you still need the SD card.

  • Can the ESX SD stream from the memory card as roland machins can. And if not how large is the internal sample memory in minutes please?

  • @LatigidGolana

No, the ESX has a 28MB internal flash memory, and and you need to load the samples from SD card to this memory before to use. This operation takes about 50 seconds.

  • @Xevious76 Didn't you get the manual with your ESX? You can find one at Korg's web page. It has all the info you need on this machine.

  • @Xevious76

Actually is just to load the new samples (the .esx file) via SD card that will erase the internal memory and replace by the new samples. You should use the OpenElectribeEditor-v1.0.1.BETA to make a new .esx file with your customs samples. Do a backup of internal memory before do this.

    Thanks for your comments!

I have used two RCA to 1/4 adapter (sold in musical stores).

    Thanks.

  • How on earth did you use that RCA Audio to get the output? My Electribe has the standard 1/4 L/R Audio output
