It's not that Laura is bored, it's that she's Laura. And it looks to me like Laura and Charlie had something going on: he looks like he's crying (I can't decide if it is sweat or tears) and she's rather sad. She's become much more confident now, but I don't think that she's ever going to be a happy gesture-maker (or whatever), it's really not her thing.
