Here's a tutorial showing you the power of using an additional mode of the root note to create a fatter bass. In this case, the 2nd Osc. at -17 (a 4th below the octave -12) really beefs up the sound, similar to Felguk synths, particularly in Side By Side.

Thanks for watching!

  • Hey man, I think you've got some real talent from what I've heard in your songs, keep it up, you're gonna go far! I've been trying hard recently to recreate a high-pitched dubstep-type sound. It's something similar to the one used in Knife Party's VIP remix of "Crush" by Nero (that pitch-climbing sound), another example is in Skrillex - "Needed Change". I'd love it if you could take a stab at how they make it/make a tut on either cos I'd really wanna understand how that effect is made.

Needed Change wobble is almost done getting reconstructed! Just need to get a video and audio down for it! Get stoked. haha.

  • @c25ole Yeah that's true. I got Reason 5 and that helps alot and i'm trying to switch to ableton but it's a bit confusing at first.

  • @xCrowellskiix i have it yet it seems like they are always faded into my other sounds

  • @c25ole look up the VEC3 pack

  • it sounds like the octave is to low on one of the ocs or something.

  • @c25ole Vengance Club Essentials have some really great sounds. Anything by vengance really. Many big name producers use vengance and they layer high, low and mids to really fatten up their drums. You can find torrents of these on Piratebay. Hope this helps.

  • @c25ole Vengeance sound kits

  • @THEdjORC thanks

  • @c25ole vengeance electroshok v 2 :)

  • teach us how you modulate your pitch
