  • Stevie plays the trap set (drums to you) and most all instrumentation in preproduction. The really strange thing is so few people have viewed this video, and this video changed the sound of funk in a giant way. Vanilla Ice gets more views than this. It's a sad time we're in m'friends..

  • & they are totally giving Stevie respect."We worked him" may just be the expression producers/ conductors/directors use w/ actors/musicians.

It's all edited interviews for a broad subject . We don't know all of what else Malcolm & Bob may have said.

I'd love to hear more . I am totally fascinated by the process/work that went into making those albums.

    And creativity in general.

What a great example these cats are of that. Stevie.Malcolm. Bob.Thank you

    Thnx to the doc. makers

  • alan1414, you do not "hear" TONTO on those albums, just Odyssey and MiniMoog. They worked together, but did not record together. In fact, the TONTO creators never said they recorded together. Berry Gordy and Stevie have no reason to "remove" Tontos creators from the credits

  • woow that studio is legendary !!! WTF So unique instruments

  • @tom6lillie5 dumb coward..

  • When we experience masterpieces it's so rewarding to later be given an insight into just how the artist(s) went about "carving" such beauty.

    Thank you for the upload!

  • @grabngonuts TONTO was used on every song from Music of my Mind, Talking Book, Innervisions, Fulfillingness' First Finale. The majority of Songs in the Key of Life were also made up of already recorded TONTO and Stevie songs (I believe). They were incredible together, unfortunately it all got a bit sour when the two guys from TONTO realised they weren't getting enough credit for the albums. (That's not to say they were the sole reason these albums were amazing. Stevie is a genius.)

  • wonder ripped off these two guys and when the two guys left wonder he did not produce another top lp i wonder why steve.wonder you owe these guys millions in royalities.

  • @WillyMcCoy50 Preachin' to the choir, my man!

  • All that footage of Stevie.... where can we see it?! I hope that gets released someday. That stuff where he's playing the Drums and singing Living for the City etc... man.

  • what song can I hear tonto on? I dont see tonto credits on any of my Wonder albums, BUT Im still impressed with TONTO! (I know he used minimoog and 2600)
