  • I did this and followed all the steps.............Guess what Now the Display isnt working!!!!!!!! Have you got any ideas. I know it is turned on because the vibrate still works and it makes the beeping noise when you plug it in to charge! Help please.........any ideas

  • @tobywallace98 99% of the time the problem is that the ribbon cables aren't properly connected. Try reseating the cables, and if it still doesn't work, try it again. :) That almost always fixes it.

  • why is there so many people fixing iphones and missing out half the steps i think its reckless

  • @ilkleysk8r Like I said, the video is an overview, and before anyone does the repair they should pull up the repair guide, which has all of the steps in intricate detail. --mj

  • can i pay her or ifixit to do it?

  • @boatwheel66 Maybe check craigslist for local repair people?

  • babe u can change *my battery* anytime *wink**

  • hey my iphone 3gs is crashing when i launch an app at around 60 percent plus or take some. is this a battery issue or a software issue. It doesnt crash at all when its plugged in. occasionally it would last a bit longer like till around 40 percent. when it shuts off i can turn it on one more time before it shows a dead battery screen. should i try replacing the battery?

  • I followed the instructions at your website and had success. Thank you. Here was an issue for me in case you guys are keeping track of trouble shooting. When prying the display off, cable #3 pulled out. That made me ignore the fact that the little gray or white piece above the connection for cable 3 was a snap or a lock to hole #3 in place. So when I went to put it back in, it would not go in until I lifted the little snap.

  • You're very cute, but my iPhone 3GS no longer works after I attempted to replace the battery myself. I should have brought it to Apple.
