@TheRealUnderherfeet for your info most of chicago's housing projects are gone & replaced with mixed income town homes & strip malls. you can even get starbucks coffee in most Chicago ghetto hoods now. NYC will always have projects cause there is no place more affordable over there & plus there is no where else to put all those people. so yeah my point is that NYC reallly does suck. CHI-CITY!!!

@dsillsevans Good for you for moving out. This place was never the projects. NYC Housing Authority owns all housing projects in NYC. The maintenance in the p's is pretty decent. NYCHA never had anything to do with Vanderveer. Just Wiki NYCHA and you'll see all housing projects in NYC. The people in the Veer had an attitude problem. Like an old quote on the wall by Fort Greene (real projects I might add) in downtown BK says: the only difference bet. the projects and the Co-Ops is the attitude.
