Dec. 6, 2010, Colo. Dept. of Revenue Advisory Committee Meeting
Presentation by Fern Epstein, Consultant to the Colorado Department of Revenue, on a new database for tracking patient and medicine information. This is in direct violation of Article XVIII, Section 14 of the Colorado Constitution, Colorado's Medical Marijuana Amendment, which mandates the state health department keep a confidential registry. This video describes the plan to make a massive database open to local, state and federal law enforcement on demand.

  • I hate this new trend calling taxation "revenue" and policing "law enFORCEment". This new language detracts from the true purpose and nature of both aspects of government - the strong arms of gunvernment.

Ask yourselves: why does law enFORCEment and the TAX department need access to medical marijuana information? Do they also get access to heart transplant patients, to the transplant registry, to the Rx system... ??

  • a non-toxic flower. whats the big deal? you'd think cannabis was the most dangerous thing on earth. Pot causes madness in non-users.

  • patient plant limits will still exist. That is until Colorado LEGALIZES IT !!!!...then these fools can just go back to church on Sunday. Make it legal, make it green.

  • @ keikoasmom--the revenue will be used to punish sick people and caregivers. It's not only very UN-like pharmaceuticals or alcohol it is surveillance beyond anything any Americans have ever seen.

Are you on the registry? Or do you have anything at stake here? besides the fact that you do not care about big brother in your health care? Are you an American?

  • The voters voted for amendment 20. Chris Romer's stated purpose was to shut down dispensaries and kill those jobs. He gleefully would arrest patients. he shut down businesses that had been operating with no issue for over 10 years. Now this job killer wants to be mayor of Denver. The citizens of Denver have spoken twice making marijuana legal in the city. Do you think he will respect those voters if elected? Hell no, vote anyone but Romer.

  • It sounds as though this is a streamlining process, it will make processing applications and receiving licenses faster, and hopefully the revenue can be used to help the state. I think this is a positive step, and much needed. We knew that the state would have to implement a better system. It is not unlike pharmaceuticals, though, but also a bit like alcohol in the way that liquor licenses are processed.

  • If you listen to the diction, it's all about tracking patients by all bureaucrats, revenue for the fascism machine, and profit for corporatists. Screw 'em all.

  • So they basically made a mockery of the constitutional initiative the people voted on. I predicted this. I also predicted they'll drive patients underground, which is probably what they want, so they can late complain about all the "crime" (something they can't legitimately complain about now.)

  • No one in the room could read the DOR paperwork and there were no copies handed out-

  • There overgrown reach for straws RIGHT WING. HA HA HA
