Three weeks ago I trashed my Kawasaki Z1000. Came out o.k. just a few bruises and scrapes. Wanted to make a video about the proper safety gear, so here it is.

  • good gear is key, I just shake my head at those guys in t shirts and shorts, Luckily I have never tested my gear in way, but I always wear it, glad your alright,

  • @beast12101

Thanks. You are right, good gear is key and you know a thing or two about gear :)

Got to look for better quality gloves for the next time. Wasn't too impressed with the set that got trashed.

  • Thank God you came out alright! I was curious - what about your pants; how did they hold up? And how expensive do you think the repairs for your bike will be?

  • @edthetallguy

    Thanks Ed.

Yea, forgot about pants. I was wearing a pair of heavy weight jeans and somehow there is a hole in the inner thigh area. Otherwise they fared well.

The bike repairs.. well, too many things on my plate right now. Riding season is almost over here in WY anyway, so probably after hunting season and a few more trips for firewood I'll get to the bike. Maybe will do a video on the repair.

  • Can't advocate proper gear enough, especially when you're on a motorcycle. Very, very easy to lose your life because of somebody else's mistake, or your own for that matter. Good video, glad to hear you escaped relatively unscathed.

  • @RugB346 Right on.Thank you for the kind words.
