  • Dear fellow Americans in video,

Please refrain from being lazy, and pull open the door with your hand. If it did not work with the button the first time, your just going to wast brain power trying to comprehend why it continues to not work when you press it more times.

You're making us all look bad.

    Thank you

  • That sux. Hate to actually use your hands or something.

  • IK your hands are too good for that car or something right?

  • I agree with all the other comments saying that the rubber is bent. The door is just doing what it is designed to do. It sensed the rubber in front of it and reversed the operation. That is a feature only for your safety.

  • STUPID DID YOU SEE THE RUBBER BEND IT HAS AN UPPER CURVE DUE TO HEAT AND IT IS AGAINST THE DOOR GO TO THE DEALER AND REPLACE IT.

  • Anybody that says its the owners fault is stupid. Hes trying to show you the fact that because the plastic bumper cover warped on a BRAND NEW VEHICLE the power lift gate cant open properly any more. Its has a power lift gate for convenience......its not convenient to have to step on the plastic to push it down so he can open the door when it shouldnt have problems in the first place being NEW!

  • You pulled up the bumper rubber padding. That is why it won't open. It is sensing resistance. It is a safety design. It will stop if somebody is standing and leaning on the van. You can also get the optional pinch sensor (it works when you close the tailgate and it senses resistance like a child's finger etc) and it will automatically reverse. I know, because I build these vans. And they are WELL BUILT!!

  • i had the same problem in my 2008 dodge grand caravan sxt my dealer fixed it and good as new no need to bash the minivan if youre so clueless to what you are doing,it's just a simple rear bumper strip it's that hard to replace it has a high strength glue on it. so its not that hard to fix

  • Chrysler, garbage imported from Detroit.

  • @krodfish Ahhhhh, owned by Mercedes and Fiat, so that explains why their going out of business, hell their too ashamed to put their name on their trucks anymore! I think I'll stick with the proven brands like Toyota and Honda, their tailgates work just fine...

  • @Mrphatbastard1 , you retard. Dodge has been owned by Mercedes and Fiat when this van was designed and released. It's no more domestic than a Toyota Tundra.

  • @WildoTheRubberFist He made us all look bad by choosing an American brand that's going out of business in the first place!
